Senior Principal Consultant

An urgent opening has arisen for an experienced Team Assistant to join a City based Investment firm on a temporary basis. This is a three-month assignment (with the potential for further extension) and the role is primarily office based with one day working from home.

This busy and varied role, will primarily support senior asset and fund managers, ensuring day to day administrative tasks and operations run smoothly.

The Team Assistant will support enjoy a visible role, working collaboratively with the team and building strong working relationships at all levels. The work is varied and demanding and an ideal role for someone who is highly skilled at multitasking and working in a proactive way.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Diary management including scheduling meetings and organising meeting logistics (conference calls, rooms, refreshments etc.)
  • Plan and organise travel arrangements for the team with appropriate authorisation
  • Act as first point of contact for internal and external queries
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure internal processes are completed with information is provided in a timely fashion
  • Input and reconciliation of expenses for team members (using Concur)
  • Manage and update relevant databases and systems, including record maintenance and filing
  • Prepare documentation such as PowerPoint presentations and Word documents in report format
  • Build networks and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • As part of the support team, provide absence cover and help colleagues where possible
  • Administration of Investment Committee papers
  • Project work on an ad hoc basis

Skills and experience:

  • Previous success in a team support role within a corporate environment or financial services is preferred
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with ability and initiative to anticipate requirements of the stakeholders
  • Competent and confident interaction with all levels of colleagues and stakeholders in an appropriate manner
  • Detail oriented and thorough approach to work, good at multi-tasking and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a flexible attitude supporting others as needed
  • Flexible, helpful to others and adaptable in a changing environment
  • Strong communication skills in English language, both written and verbal

Salary - £25 per hour plus holiday pay
