Our client, a ground-breaking, highly innovative start-up working at the forefront of clinical cancer treatment is looking for an experienced EA to join their busy team. Their mission is to drive meaningful change in how cancer is understood, treated and managed, by combining scientific excellence with bold, forward-thinking approaches. Their leadership team consists of highly regarded experts in their respective fields, operating at pace in a complex, fast-moving environment.

The are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide high-level, strategic support to the Founder & CEO and any additional senior leaders within the organisation. This is a fully remote, part-time role (7 hours per week) suited to an experienced EA who thrives in supporting senior executives, brings absolute discretion, and can operate with autonomy and sound judgement.

Despite the limited hours, this is a senior, trusted role requiring efficiency, foresight, and the ability to manage competing priorities for two extremely busy leaders.

Role: Executive Assistant to Founder & CEO

Contract: Temporary and Part Time – 7 hours per week

Rate: £20-£22.50 per hour

Key responsibilities

  • Proactive diary and calendar management across multiple time zones.
  • Scheduling and coordination of high-level meetings, including preparation and follow-up.
  • Inbox management, drafting correspondence, and acting as a gatekeeper where appropriate.
  • Supporting board, investor, and external stakeholder interactions.
  • Preparation of documents, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Managing confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Streamlining administrative processes to maximise leadership effectiveness.
  • Ad-hoc senior EA support as required in a dynamic start-up environment.

Skills required:

  • Proven experience as a senior-level Executive Assistant, ideally supporting founders, CEOs, or C-suite executives.
  • Comfortable supporting more than one senior leader simultaneously.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate needs.
  • Confident working independently in a remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, calm and adaptable under pressure.
  • Experience within start-ups, scale-ups, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly complex environments is advantageous.
