Our client, a real estate business, is looking for an HR Manager to join their team. This is a standalone, HR generalist role covering 42 people across Manchester and Northampton. You will ideally be based in the Northampton office with regular visits to the Manchester office.
Role outline
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the company’s people strategy. You will report directly to the Finance Director. In addition, you will:
- Have responsibility for overseeing the whole employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to exit.
- Act as a trusted adviser to the Board and senior management team on all people matters.
- Be a member of the Business Operations Board, you will provide updates and insights on all people and operational matters
- Attend monthly Board meetings reporting on HR data, highlighting any people risks with clear recommendations.
- Manage any employee relations matters, whilst mitigating any legal risk to the business.
- Ensure all employee policies and processes are legally compliant and applied consistently.
- Develop and deliver a commercially focussed training plan to drive performance.
- Have line responsibility for managing the Business Support Team which comprises 3 Executive Assistants across two locations.
- Have responsibility for creating and analysing the annual employee engagement survey
This is a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will have a high level of resilience, drive and determination. You will need to have good, working knowledge of UK employment law, the ability to engage with various stakeholders and manage a varied and changing workload, an aptitude and desire to learn and an ability to self manage.

- CIPD qualified or equivalent desirable
- People management experience
