Position: HR Advisor
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £50,000-£55,000
Contract: Permanent – 5 days in the office

Our client, a market leading Investment Fund Management business based in the heart of Newcastle is seeking an experienced HR Operations Analyst to join their growing team. Working within a dynamic and rapidly growing Tech company you will work directly with the Recruitment team providing full support to maximise their effectiveness, streamline operations and help drive company growth.
Responsibilities
- Administrator of our HRIS (Workday), ensuring HR processes (e.g., data input, employee lifecycle workflows) are operationally timely and accurate.
- Support the implementation of HR process changes within Workday to improve efficiency, automation, or reporting where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers on system updates, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain strong data governance to enable accurate and up-to-date HR data reporting and workforce analytics.
- Execute the day-to-day processes that fall within the employee lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, benefits administration, offboarding).
- Contribute to process improvements within HR Operations, supporting efforts to standardise and streamline workflows.
- Document existing and improved HR processes, workflows, and policies to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to review and refine HR processes to align with business objectives.
- Ensure all HR operational processes align with local laws and internal company policies.
- Generate and manage HR documentation, including offer letters and service agreements
- First point of contact for employees and managers with HR operational queries, providing accurate and consistent guidance and applying judgement to escalate where required.
What makes a great candidate
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR Operations, HR Administration, or HR Analyst role.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms (preferably Workday), and Application Tracking Systems (preferably Greenhouse).
- Strong administrative and operational experience, with a proven ability to execute HR processes accurately and consistently.
- A practical understanding of the employee lifecycle and the underlying HR processes
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data management, governance and analytics.
- Understanding of compliance requirements such as GDPR or equivalent data protection regulations.
- Experience working with highly confidential and sensitive information and applying the highest levels of discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative, execution-focused mindset — someone who takes ownership of tasks and follows through to completion.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially when troubleshooting HRIS or process issues.
- Proficient in using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Additional experience in MS Visio preferred.
- An Undergraduate Degree in a relevant subject
