Team Administrator – Building Consultancy
Location: Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE) plus bonus and benefits
We are delighted to be working with a thriving independent building consultancy to recruit an experienced Team Administrator. Based in their stunning new offices in Birmingham City Centre, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that prides itself on its open and transparent culture and commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
As part of this established organisation, which operates across Manchester, Bristol, London, and Birmingham, you will provide high-level administrative support to a team of Surveyors. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the building, construction, or surveying sectors, or those with transferable skills from similar industries, such as legal document preparation.
This is a predominantly office-based role with the flexibility to work from home one day per week, in line with business needs. Occasional travel to other offices may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating, preparing, and quality-checking documents to a high standard, including survey reports, bids, tender documents, letters, and presentations.
- Producing Excel documents with formulas and transcribing digital dictation or notes into various formats.
- Managing calendars, scheduling meetings and appointments, and arranging inspections for Surveyors, clients, and senior team members.
- Providing office support, such as answering calls, organising conference calls, scanning, printing, and managing office supplies.
- Booking travel, accommodation, cherry pickers, and events, as well as assisting with general office functions.
- Supporting other functions as needed, including marketing, finance, and spreadsheets.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in administration, PA, or secretarial roles within the building consultancy, property industry, or a similar sector.
- Strong grasp of the English language, with excellent proofreading, grammar, and formatting skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Project is desirable but not essential.
- A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn on the job and contribute proactively to the team.
