Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist – Financial Services | Location: London | Contract: 6 Month Fixed-Term
We have partnered with an incredibly desirable financial services organisation based in London to source an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join the team on a 6-month fixed-term basis.
Reporting into the Head of HR, you will have overall responsibility for complex case management and strategic ER-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a fair and consistent approach across the board while meeting employee needs and protecting the business.
- Deliver expert employee relations guidance and support to senior stakeholders and line managers.
- Work closely with HR Business Partners to proactively identify issues and ensure effective resolutions.
- Mentor junior team members on lower-level cases.
- Act as the first point of contact for queries and concerns relating to employee wellbeing, engagement, and relations.
- Upskill and impart ER knowledge, raising ER capability across the team and the business, with a focus on conflict resolution.
- Manage restructuring and redundancy processes in collaboration with the wider team.
- Support organisational development initiatives in partnership with the business.
- Assist employees in achieving their individual professional development goals, thereby supporting organisational objectives.
This is a fast-paced, busy role that offers a great deal of autonomy and decision-making responsibility from day one. To be successful in this position, you will bring enthusiasm, positivity, and drive, along with strong, demonstrable ER experience across a variety of cases.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in employee relations with a solid track record of handling complex cases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Availability to start at short notice.
