Executive Assistant to CEO
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE) plus benefits
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Executive Assistant to support the CEO of a reputable national organisation on a permanent basis. This role will require working 2-3 days a week from the Birmingham office, so the successful candidate must live within commuting distance from Solihull, Birmingham to be considered.
As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you’ll play a pivotal role, providing comprehensive, organisational, and strategic support to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing a broad variety of administrative tasks to support the CEO’s leadership, including:
- Producing complex documents, reports, and presentations.
- Collecting and preparing information for meetings.
- Composing and preparing correspondence for internal and external purposes.
- Processing and approving holiday requests, invoices, and expenses.
- Managing the CEO’s calendar, prioritising enquiries and requests, and making judgements and recommendations.
- Coordinating the CEO’s inbox, implementing prioritisation and discretion where required.
- Managing meeting cadence and associated governance, including creating agendas, scheduling meetings, distributing materials, and recording meeting minutes and actions.
- Ensuring the CEO is well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, with appropriate follow-up.
- Booking business travel, compiling itineraries, and managing schedules.
- Providing ad-hoc administrative support to members of the wider Executive team as needed.
- Acting as a gatekeeper, handling matters with discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement.
- Acting as a sounding board for the CEO and wider Executive team.
- Organising internal and external events as required.
- Supporting ad hoc projects as needed.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 2 years' PA/EA experience at Board level.
- Discretion and trustworthiness when handling confidential information.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence, flexibility, and self-motivation.
- Proficiency in standard MS Office software packages and adaptability to learn company-specific systems.
