Board-Level Executive Assistant (Temporary)
Location: City of London
Contract Length: Immediate start – End of June
Hourly Rate: £25–£30 per hour (DOE)

 

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Board-Level Executive Assistant to support the CEO of a prominent City Insurance firm on a temporary basis. This high-profile role requires an experienced and confident Executive Assistant who can operate at the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.

This is an interim role, and we are seeking someone available to start immediately and work through to the end of June.

An excellent opportunity for an Executive Assistant who thrives on staying organised, anticipating needs, and managing a busy and varied workload.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the CEO’s diary and scheduling internal and external meetings.
  • Monitoring and managing the CEO’s Outlook email inbox.
  • Organising national and international travel arrangements for executives and visitors.
  • Processing and managing expenses.
  • Acting as a communication liaison between the CEO, the management team, and direct reports.
  • Liaising with high-profile clients and senior external parties.
  • Organising entertainment and social events for the Executive’s department.
  • Drafting and typing letters, memos, faxes, emails, and reports as required.
  • Coordinating quarterly committee meetings, including drafting agendas and compiling materials.
  • Preparing, formatting, and distributing meeting materials and agendas.
  • Providing ad hoc formatting support for PowerPoint and Word documents.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a senior-level Executive Assistant role, ideally within the London Insurance market or Financial Services.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and a working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong minute-taking skills, including preparation, attendance, and accurate documentation of meetings.
  • High level of discretion and a professional, proactive attitude.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
