Executive Assistant to CEO – Forward-Thinking Start-Up – Sheffield (Office-Based)
Our client, an ambitious and innovative start-up organisation, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Executive Assistant to provide 1:1 support to their CEO. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven CEO-level experience who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to contribute at a strategic level.
The role is full-time and office-based in Sheffield, offering the chance to be a valued and integral part of a growing business. Candidates with start-up experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a busy inbox, handling correspondence from internal and external stakeholders, flagging priorities, and drafting responses with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinate a complex diary, organising virtual and in-person meetings, ensuring the CEO is fully prepared, and adjusting schedules as priorities shift.
- Attend meetings, take minutes, and follow up on required actions. Represent the CEO in meetings when appropriate.
- Assist with strategic projects, providing agile support to align with business priorities.
- Build and manage thoughtful relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Grasp priorities and manage deadlines for the CEO, troubleshooting issues with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
- Handle document administration, reviewing and providing comments as necessary.
- Arrange and book travel as required for the CEO.
- Deal with highly sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Support occasional personal tasks as requested by the CEO.
Person Specification
- Proven experience of supporting C-suite stakeholders, with 5+ years in a similar role preferred.
- Flexible and proactive, able to prioritise and switch between tasks seamlessly.
- Skilled in building relationships across all levels of an organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Diplomatic, sensitive, and highly confidential in approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Open to using and learning new software and tools as needed.
- Experience in a start-up environment is highly desirable.

- Salary: Competitive, up to £60,000 per annum (DOE).
