An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a vibrant and growing tech organisation based in Salford. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People to join the company on a 4-month fixed-term contract (FTC), with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right individual. This is a unique chance to be part of the senior leadership team, contribute to the overall direction of the business, and make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.

As the Head of People, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the company culture, driving employee engagement, and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. This is an all-encompassing generalist role where you'll have the opportunity to lead HR initiatives, develop strategies, and collaborate closely with senior leaders to achieve organisational goals.

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Provide guidance and support on people-related initiatives to drive organisational growth and success.

  • Employee Engagement and Culture: Champion a positive and inclusive company culture that empowers employees and fosters a sense of belonging. Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, well-being, and satisfaction.

  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Work closely with the internal recruiter to oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and attracting top talent to onboarding and retention. Implement effective talent management strategies to support career development and succession planning.

  • Performance Management: Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance reviews. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related matters.

  • Employee Relations and Compliance: Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution. Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance across all HR practices.

  • HR Operations and Administration: Manage HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems. Streamline HR processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the tech industry.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving employee engagement, culture, and organisational development.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
