HR Advisor – Leading Organisation – Knutsford (Hybrid, Temporary Role)
Our client, a prominent and well-regarded organisation, is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join their team on a rolling temporary basis for approximately 2–3 months. This is an exciting opportunity to provide confidential HR advisory support and collaborate with a Global HR team to deliver effective HR solutions.
This hybrid role requires a minimum of two days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will have prior HR Advisor experience, be immediately available or on a one-week notice, and have the ability to contribute to a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee advisory queries, escalating to the Global HR Business Partner as needed.
- Handle performance improvement plans, disciplinary cases, absence management, and other employee relations matters.
- Maintain accurate case information, updating HR trackers, Bamboo HR, and personnel files.
- Prepare and coordinate correspondence and documentation for ER cases in line with policies and procedures.
- Own and manage the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless employee journey from offer stage to the end of the probationary period.
- Collaborate with managers to improve the onboarding experience, continually suggesting improvements and implementing new ideas.
- Provide coaching and guidance to line managers on employee relations cases to reach the best outcomes.
- Assist with and deliver line manager training programmes, ensuring materials are up-to-date.
- Support the wider HR team with tasks and projects, including TUPE transfers and training delivery.
- Work globally with HR colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations and integration with recruitment and other business functions.
Person Specification
- 1–2 years of experience at HR Advisor/Senior Advisor level.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK Employment Legislation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Confident decision-maker, particularly under pressure.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- IT and numeracy skills, with a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and team-oriented with an appreciation for colleagues.
