HR Advisor – Top 20 Global Law Firm

We are delighted to partner with a top 20 global law firm based in Guildford to recruit a dedicated and capable HR Advisor. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced HR professional to further their career in the legal industry, with the chance to mentor junior team members, lead complex employee relations (ER) cases, and deliver strategic people initiatives.
You’ll be supported by experienced and passionate Senior HR Business Partners, enabling you to learn and grow while working autonomously on exciting HR projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries and requests for your client group.
- Streamline and develop HR processes to improve team and firm efficiencies.
- Implement and lead strategic HR projects, enhancing overall business effectiveness.
- Lead probation meetings, managing associated documentation.
- Oversee absence management and work proactively to address any issues.
- Maintain and update the HRIS while ensuring HR Admins adhere to processes.
- Lead on employee relations (ER) cases, escalating as necessary.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team to support business growth.
- Provide global HR support, understanding and adhering to local employment laws.
- Promote a positive working environment, fostering and developing the firm’s culture.
- Manage training requests and oversee the appraisal process.
- Take the lead on diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives, driving positive change.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in a similar HR Advisor role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Confident in handling and leading ER cases independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for delivering an exceptional HR service and driving people-focused initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic and operational HR responsibilities.
