HR Coordinator – Prestigious Financial Services Firm – City of London (Permanent)

We are thrilled to partner with a highly prestigious financial services firm in the City to find a proactive and tenacious HR Coordinator to join their Human Resources team on a permanent basis. This is a remarkable opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to further their HR career in a fast-paced, thriving environment.

Reporting to an HR Business Partner, you will support a specific client group, gaining valuable experience and a clear progression path to HR Advisor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, embraces responsibility, and is keen to contribute to HR process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR, managing the HR inbox and responding to queries promptly.
  • Lead the firm's new joiner and leaver processes, including organising inductions.
  • Support HR Business Partners with paperwork and process administration.
  • Conduct and track exit interviews, analysing data and identifying trends.
  • Maintain the HRIS (Workday), ensuring all data is accurate and producing reports as required.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including renewals and related queries.
  • Coordinate training courses, liaising with the L&D Manager for internal and external sessions.
  • Manage the probationary process, including scheduling meetings and follow-ups.
  • Support HR Business Partners with employee relations cases, taking ownership of low-level cases when appropriate.
  • Produce board reports and data with the support of an HR Business Partner.
  • Assist with SMCR (Senior Managers and Certification Regime) compliance as required.
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team on people-related initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and added value.

Person Specification

  • Demonstrable experience in an HR Generalist role with exposure to the responsibilities listed above.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, preferably Workday, and confident in data analysis and reporting.
  • Calm under pressure with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Keen to contribute ideas and implement improvements to existing processes.
  • A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships at all levels.
