HR Generalist – Wilmslow

Location: Hybrid Working (Wilmslow Office)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum DOE

We are delighted to be recruiting for a HR Generalist to join a dynamic and inspiring organisation based in Wilmslow on a permanent basis.

This is a brand-new role and an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to shape and grow the HR function in alignment with the organisation’s vision. It offers a fantastic mix of operational and strategic HR responsibilities, ideal for someone confident in a stand-alone position who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Policy and Procedure Development

  • Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures that align with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, staying up-to-date with legal requirements and best practices.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee the full recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify hiring needs and establish recruitment strategies.
  • Build and maintain a strong employer brand to attract top talent.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture to promote employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted mediator in employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent resolution of conflicts.
  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities to boost morale and create a sense of belonging.

Performance Management

  • Design and implement performance management systems, including goal setting and performance evaluations.
  • Support managers and employees with performance improvement and career development plans.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Provide employees with opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Collaborate with management to design competitive compensation and benefits packages.
  • Conduct market research to ensure the company’s offerings remain attractive and competitive.

Compliance and Legal Matters

  • Handle contracts, agreements, and employee documentation to ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Support the business in navigating HR-related legal matters.

HR Data Management

  • Maintain accurate HR records, including employee files, attendance, and leave management.
  • Utilise HR software to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, UK employment law, and best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Previous experience in a stand-alone role or a similar capacity is advantageous.
