An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of HR UK to join a forward-thinking global organisation during a period of growth and transformation. As part of their strategic expansion, my client has created a brand new role that the successful candidate can put their own stamp on.

This position offers autonomy and will be a varied generalist position. It would suit a dynamic and strategic HR professional who will look to shape and lead the HR function, including talent acquisition and recruitment, during this pivotal period in their journey. The role will be office-based in the Chelsea/Knightsbridge area.

As the Head of HR - UK, you will be a key strategic partner in driving the organisational objectives. You will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing HR strategies, with a specific focus on talent acquisition and recruitment, working closely with their Director of Recruitment based in Dubai. This role is ideal for an experienced HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who will embrace change.

Duties will include:

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the organisation's growth and transformation goals.
  • Partner with global HR leadership to ensure consistency in HR practices and policies.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Alongside the Director of Recruitment, assist with building and leading the talent acquisition and recruitment function for the UK, ensuring the acquisition of top-tier talent to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce planning requirements and align recruitment efforts with business goals.
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse and high-quality candidates.

Organisational Development:

  • Work on initiatives related to employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning, in collaboration with the Director of Recruitment and Director of L&D.

HR Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.

Autonomous Project Management:

  • Take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and initiatives.
  • Propose and lead projects to enhance the impact and efficiency of HR programmes.

Person Specification:

  • Several years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles, with a focus on talent acquisition and recruitment.
  • Experience working in a global organisation preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing HR teams.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems.
