Office Assistant – Engineering Firm
Location: South West London
Salary: £14 per hour
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Office Assistant to join a well-established engineering firm based in South West London on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and ready to support a busy team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming calls and directing them appropriately
- Welcoming visitors and managing meeting room bookings
- Assisting with daily administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document preparation
- Supporting the team with basic office organisation, ordering supplies, and equipment maintenance
- Coordinating couriers and handling incoming and outgoing mail
- Assisting with basic financial administration, such as invoice processing and expenses
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to tasks
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment
