Position: Secretarial Manager (Full-Time, Permanent)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Secretarial Manager to support the Operations department of a prestigious multi-national law firm based in Manchester. The primary responsibility will be working alongside the Office Manager to coordinate and deliver effective post, print, and back-office services. The role offers variety and flexibility, incorporating duties in Central Registry, Front of House, Print/Post Room, and Team Assistant tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train the General Office team members.
- Manage the opening and distribution of incoming post and the preparation of outgoing post.
- Ensure deadlines are met for post delivery services and coordinate courier services.
- Handle the scanning, photocopying, and printing requests in-house.
- Oversee stationery stock management and ordering supplies.
- Liaise with the London Finance team for processing cheques received locally.
- Assist with the administration of file and deed storage and retrieval services.
- Provide document printing and finishing services.
- Offer back-up support for the Reception team when necessary.
- Manage catering supplies in staff kitchens and handle facilities requests.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the office's smooth running.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in a busy office environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- A team player with the ability to use initiative and work autonomously.
- A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to work.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to maintain a professional, polite manner while being reliable and adaptable.
- Experience in an office environment is desirable, with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
This is a full-time, office-based position, offering a salary of up to £24,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
