Job Title: Remote Business Administrator | Location: Remote (with occasional meetings in London/Cambridge) | Contract Type: Full-Time
A Remote Business Administrator is required for a dynamic software firm operating within the science and technology sector. As this innovative business scales at pace, they now require an Administrator to support several functions across the organisation. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing Teams, this role blends essential administrative tasks with marketing duties, including support with social media posts, community engagement, and branding initiatives.
In this role, you will interact directly with clients and customers from scientific and academic backgrounds, making excellent organisational, communication, and written skills essential. The ability to manage your own workload effectively is crucial for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across various departments, ensuring smooth operations.
- Assist the Sales and Marketing Teams with repetitive yet essential tasks to keep projects on track.
- Support the creation and scheduling of social media posts and engage with the community to enhance brand presence.
- Maintain client and customer communications, addressing inquiries and providing support.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and presentations.
- Organise and coordinate meetings, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared in advance.
- Manage administrative duties related to client accounts and assist with invoicing where necessary.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within the academic sector.
- Strong interest in psychology or marketing is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while being part of a remote team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with digital communication tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position that allows for flexibility in working hours, with the expectation of two to four in-person meetings with the wider team annually in London or Cambridge. Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum plus benefits.
