We are recruiting on behalf of our client – a welcoming and well-respected school based in Denton, Stockport – for a Temporary Personal Assistant to support the Headteacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment.

Temporary Personal Assistant – Headteacher Support
Denton, Stockport
£18 per hour

Rolling temporary contract

Interviewing w/c 20th May

Start date: 2nd June

The role is to start on 2nd June and an interview will be held week commencing 20th May. It is a rolling temporary cover position that has come about due to an internal promotion.

This role will be key in supporting the Headteacher and wider SLT with a range of administrative and organisational duties. Candidates must be immediately available or available at short notice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Diary management and scheduling meetings

  • Preparing agendas and taking minutes

  • Drafting and formatting letters, reports, and documents

  • Acting as first point of contact for the Headteacher

  • Liaising with parents, governors, and internal staff

  • Ensuring efficient day-to-day administration of the Headteacher’s office

Candidate profile:

  • Previous experience supporting at senior level within a school or education setting is highly desirable

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities with discretion and initiative

  • Professional, friendly, and calm under pressure
