Legal Team Personal Assistant – Corporate & Commercial Department
Location: Manchester City Centre (Hybrid – Approx. 2 Days from Home)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum plus benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Team Personal Assistant to join a leading law firm in their Corporate & Commercial department. Based in stunning offices in Manchester City Centre, this is a hybrid role offering approximately two days of remote working per week.
This is a fast-paced and varied position where you will be part of the Executive Support Services team, providing high-level support to Partners and Associates. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role within a professional services environment, looking to thrive in a busy and collaborative team.
Duties include:
- Managing and maintaining lawyers’ diaries, including organising events, travel, and meetings.
- Monitoring and managing lawyers’ inboxes, responding on their behalf where appropriate.
- Planning and managing workflow, delegating tasks as needed.
- Supporting lawyers in delivering exceptional client service, anticipating and addressing client needs.
- Preparing and distributing agendas, itineraries, and meeting papers, including chasing pending items.
- Handling all aspects of file administration and acting as the point of contact on behalf of lawyers.
- Maintaining lawyers’ CVs/biographies and completing submissions.
- Managing expenses, memberships, and subscriptions using the Purchase Order system and preparing payments.
Person specification:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a professional services environment (ideally legal).
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Flexible and willing to work additional hours as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- High attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.
- Calm and professional demeanour, even in high-pressure situations.
