Personal Assistant – Financial Services
Location: Manchester City Centre (Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day from home)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE) + benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Personal Assistant to join a reputable financial services company based in Manchester city centre. This role is perfect for a PA with at least three years of experience and a background in organising and hosting external events.
About the Role:
As the Personal Assistant, you will support the COO and the wider team, managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel. Additionally, you’ll lead event management for internal and external functions, assist with charity initiatives, and ensure the smooth running of key activities within the company.
Duties Include:
PA Support for COO and Team:
- Arrange internal and client meetings, managing bookings and refreshments as necessary.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, keeping expenses in line with company guidelines.
- Manage relationships with external networks and portfolio businesses.
Event Management:
- Coordinate internal team meetings, off-site strategy days, and portfolio company forums (virtual or in-person).
- Organise virtual training sessions for portfolio businesses.
- Oversee budget management for events, liaising with the CFO for approval.
Charity Support:
- Drive charity relationships and internal communications on initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Update CRM records as needed.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover for the PA team and Receptionist.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned.
Person Specification:
- Experience: Minimum of three years in a PA role, with proven diary management and event coordination skills.
- Collaborative and Independent: A motivated team player who can work autonomously.
- Flexible and Proactive: Able to adapt to varying tasks with a self-starter attitude.
- Communication: Strong skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Event and Charity Experience: Event coordination experience is essential, while charity experience is desirable but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
