Personal Assistant – Not-for-Profit Organisation
Location: Cheadle, South Manchester (Office-Based)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (DOE)

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support the CEO, Deputy CEO, and Trustees of a not-for-profit organisation based in Cheadle, South Manchester on a permanent basis.

This role provides administrative and organisational support to the senior leadership team, ensuring the CEO’s workload and activities are managed efficiently. By effectively coordinating priorities, travel arrangements, and communications, the Personal Assistant will contribute to the smooth operational running of the organisation.

This is a full-time office-based role, ideal for someone highly organised and proactive who is eager to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the CEO’s workload, diary, and activities, managing priorities and ensuring seamless scheduling.
  • Organising national and international travel, including accommodation, logistics, and itineraries, for the CEO, Deputy CEO, and Trustees within budget.
  • Providing comprehensive diary management for the CEO and departmental directors, ensuring effective prioritisation of competing demands.
  • Preparing materials and information for CEO and Trustee meetings, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation.
  • Managing correspondence and enquiries directed to the CEO’s office, disseminating information as needed and drafting responses where appropriate.
  • Completing and submitting expenses for the CEO, Deputy CEO, and Trustees on the in-house system.
  • Taking minutes of meetings, including Trustee meetings, and producing timely and accurate records for approval.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in a PA or EA role, ideally supporting at CEO, Board, or senior leadership level.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Proactive, confident, and capable of using initiative to complete tasks independently.
  • Personable and professional, with the ability to build long-lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Trustworthy and discreet, with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with exceptional listening skills and a people-focused approach.
