Receptionist – Financial Services – City of London (FTC, 1 Year)
Our client, a dynamic financial services organisation in the City of London, is seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the first point of contact for a thriving organisation while providing essential administrative support across the business.
The role is office-based, requiring attendance 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. This varied position is ideal for someone with a proactive approach who enjoys being a central support to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact, greeting and welcoming guests and clients professionally.
- Manage the reception inbox, responding to queries and forwarding messages as necessary.
- Book and maintain meeting rooms, ensuring they are presentable and align with company standards.
- Answer and forward incoming calls to relevant teams or individuals.
- Maintain the Front of House and reception area to ensure a polished and welcoming environment.
- Handle general enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (e.g., monitoring the logbook, issuing visitor badges).
- Order and manage front office supplies, maintaining inventory.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for the team and assistants.
- Process monthly expenses.
- Provide ad hoc administrative support to the Facilities Manager and wider team.
- Undertake clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, and faxing.
Skills and Experience Required
- 5–10 years of experience as a Receptionist or Front Office Representative in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and confidence with technology.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.
- Presentable, professional, and approachable demeanour.
- Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Details and Benefits
